Ethnic cleansing by Syria’s Kurds in the north is mirrored by ethnic cleaning by the régime in the south of the country

Different groups seem to be cantonising Syria on politico-ethnic lines. While the YPG in the north of the country is wiping out Arab communities, a long standing practice of theirs, the Assad régime is doing the same in the south, importing Iranian communities to people the devastated areas.

Recent reports show how the ethnic cleansing by the Assad régime in Darayya south of the capital uses napalm to achieve its gruesome aims.
